Find Your Downloads and Choose Where to Save

Cannot find your downloaded PDF or PNG? Your browser controls where it is saved. Start with the checks below, or choose your browser or device for its official download instructions.

Find a PDF you already downloaded

  1. Use the same device and browser. Open the browser's downloads list and look for your recent PDF. The official guides below explain where to find the list and how to open a file or show its saved folder.
  2. Look for the filename in Xstitchify's download message. You can also search for that name in your device's files. Pattern PDFs often have names starting with colour-cross-stitch-pattern, black-and-white-cross-stitch-pattern or large-print.
  3. Check whether the download finished. A paused, failed or blocked download may not appear as a finished PDF. Check for a save prompt or a message in your browser's downloads list.

Need another copy? Sign in to My Downloads and choose Re-download on the existing file. This does not use another credit. An expired entry may no longer have a downloadable copy.

Choose where future downloads are saved

Your browser may let you choose a default folder or ask for a location each time you download. The available options depend on the browser and device. Use its official guide below; if its settings have a search box, searching for downloads can help you find the relevant options.

Your current default folder is a useful place to check for a missing file, but older files may be elsewhere if you chose another folder or moved them. Changing a download setting does not move files you already downloaded.

Choose the browser and device you used to download the PDF. These links open the browser or device maker's own help pages in a new tab. Menus and settings can change, so use those guides for the detailed steps and select your device or software version there when offered.

Saving edits and downloading a PDF or PNG

Save to Library keeps an editable pattern in your Xstitchify account. To put a printable PDF on your device, choose the PDF download option after making your edits. Saving edits does not update a PDF you downloaded earlier.

The download message shows the filename. Open PDF opens a copy in a new tab where supported; your browser may instead download it or pass it to a PDF app. Opening it this way does not generate it again or use another credit.

PNG downloads also offer Open PNG to view the downloaded image in a new tab. This opens the same file without generating it again. Free PNGs are colour or stitched previews without symbols; colour and black-and-white PNG charts with symbols are included with paid plans and trials.

Download started means the file has been handed to your browser. Xstitchify cannot see the folder your browser chose or confirm that you finished saving it on your device.

Still cannot find your file?
