Script Cross Stitch Font

A handwritten-style alphabet with looped capitals and slanted lowercase, drawn as whole stitches so it stays neat at only 8 stitches tall.

Small, Medium and Large

Script is a subscriber font, so here it is as a short sample rather than a full chart. The generator has three stitch sizes. Medium and Large are the same letters with every square doubled or tripled, so the shapes stay identical and simply stitch up bigger. The generator starts at Medium.

Where Script works best

Script gives a personal, handwritten feel without the size a traced cursive font needs. It suits names on baby announcements, "love you" notes, wedding and anniversary gifts, and short sentiments on cards and ornaments.

Unlike the traced script fonts, Script was drawn for the stitch grid, so every letter is made of clean full stitches even at the Small size. For longer handwritten passages, see the cursive section of the cross stitch fonts guide.

Stitch your own words in Script

Type a name, date or a whole verse into the cross stitch font generator, pick a size and thread colour, and it builds the chart for you, ready to print as a PDF or open in Pattern Keeper. Script is included with a Standard or Pro subscription.
